The 1st Stocksfield Scout Group welcomes new members (male or female) in all sections. Scouting by its very nature is an organisation that embraces diversity. We strongly believe that all individuals have a right to be treated fairly, regardless of their age, gender, socio-economic status, ability, sexual orientation, ethnicity or faith and beliefs. To find our more, take a look at the Scout Association’s Equal Opportunities Policy.
If you are ready to join, please use the form at the foot of this page.
We have places for potential Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. If you want to learn more about the different Sections first, use any of these links:
Sadly because of high levels of demand, some sections currently have a waiting list.
We have regularly benefited from young people volunteering to help with a section through the Scout Associations’s Young Leaders scheme, Duke of Edinburgh Award, etc. If you are interested in getting involved in this way now, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
The Group also welcomes adult volunteers. There are many opportunities and we can be very flexible to fit in with your availability. Both Beavers and Cubs are currently limited in their ability to accept more people because we have reached the maximum child to leader ratio. Joining as a leader guarantees your child a place! There are also lots of opportunities to help ‘behind the scenes’.
If you are interested in helping (either regularly or occasionally), please contact any of the adult leaders or complete the form below.
The Scout Association website provides more details about becoming a leader and suggestions of the many other ways you can help
Please use this form to submit an application, or talk to any of the adult leaders
Please note that email is inherently insecure. Do not use this form to send personal sensitive information. Simply state the section you are interested in joining then you will be contacted later by a leader and provided with a form for this purpose.
