The Scout Group is in the final phase of rebuilding it’s Scout Hut. The area is currently a construction site and so is off-limits at present. All Beaver, Cub and Scout meetings are using alternative locations until further notice.
The Hut can be found at the end of Guessburn in Stocksfield – the road opposite the railway station. It is next to Stocksfield Tennis Club. A location map and the full postal address is shown at the foot of every page.
The new hut sits on a bend in the river, surrounded by grass and trees. It has a large central hall, two meeting rooms, a kitchen, a craft room, toilets and a shower. There is also an external equipment store. The building is centrally heated and designed to be fully accessible. There is ramp access, wide doorways and a disabled toilet.
Parking by the hut is reserved for leaders and members with particular access requirements. We would appreciate it if other visitors walked, cycled or travelled by train to the hut. If you are arriving by car, be warned that spaces are limited – please park considerately on the main road.
